BETTERMENT FOR HUMANITY

As we come to this, the end of time
It's hard to imagine a betterment for humanity
Things have advanced way too far
Mankind have lost their sanity.

The dawn of time, was truly more magnificent
Such a splendid sight to see
Yet, mankind have destroyed the world
And we just call it Industry.

The atomic bomb and biological warfare
Have replaced the knights of old
We remember them only through legend
And the stories we are told.

As we come to this, the end of time
It's hard to imagine a betterment for humanity
Things have advanced way too far
Mankind have lost their sanity.

Dust and ashes have replaced
Where once, homes did lay
And silence now, engulfs the land
Where children once did play.

No I believe Mother Earth can never be
Restored to Her former glory
But let the memories live on
In our hearts, and through our stories
